Scene 1: The Library
(Lily, Tom, Emma, Mike, and Sarah are sitting in the school library. It's after school.)
Lily: (excitedly)
Guys, I found something really strange today. There was a key on the floor near the old bookshelf. I don’t know whose it is.
Tom: (laughing)
Maybe it belongs to the principal? Or maybe it’s a secret treasure key?
Emma: (curious)
That’s interesting. Maybe we should try to find out where it leads.
Mike: (dramatic)
Oh no! Is this the beginning of a great adventure? Are we going to solve a mystery?
Sarah: (smiling)
It could be fun. But we should be careful. We don’t want to get into trouble.
Lily:
Exactly. Let’s just see if anyone is looking for it. Maybe someone will come forward.
Scene 2: The Classroom
(The group is back in the classroom. Mr. Johnson walks in.)
Mr. Johnson:
What are you all doing here so late?
Tom:
We were just... uh... studying.
Mr. Johnson:
I see. Well, I need to check the lockers. Did any of you see a key lying around?
Lily:
Actually, we found one. Do you know who it belongs to?
Mr. Johnson: (serious)
That key belongs to the storage room. It’s been missing for days. I thought it was stolen.
Emma:
So, do you think someone took it?
Mr. Johnson:
Not sure yet. But I’ll keep an eye out. If you find anything else, let me know.
Scene 3: The Storage Room
(The group decides to check the storage room. They find a hidden drawer.)
Mike:
Whoa! Look at this! What’s inside?
Lily: (opening the drawer)
There are old papers and some old books. And... a note!
Emma: (reading)
“Only those who are brave enough to look will find the truth.”
Tom:
That sounds like a riddle.
Sarah:
Maybe it’s a clue. Maybe the key was meant to open something important.
Lily:
Let’s try to figure it out. Maybe there’s more to this than we thought.
Scene 4: The Revelation
(They return to the classroom and share what they found. Mr. Johnson is surprised.)
Mr. Johnson:
This is incredible. You’ve uncovered something that has been forgotten for years.
Tom:
So, what’s next?
Mr. Johnson:
Well, I think it’s time to learn more about the history of our school. And maybe, we can help restore some of the lost items.
Emma:
That sounds like a great plan.
