The summer vacation is always an exciting time for students, and as a ninth-grade student, I have made the most of this break by setting goals and exploring new opportunities. One of my primary objectives was to improve my English skills, which will undoubtedly be beneficial in the upcoming academic year.
During the holidays, I dedicated myself to reading various English books and articles. This not only enhanced my vocabulary but also improved my comprehension abilities. I particularly enjoyed reading novels like "Charlotte's Web" and "Holes," which were both engaging and educational. By immersing myself in these stories, I learned how to use idioms and expressions in context, making my writing more natural and fluent.
In addition to reading, I practiced writing essays regularly. I focused on structuring my thoughts clearly and using proper grammar and punctuation. Writing about topics such as my favorite hobbies, memorable experiences, and future aspirations helped me develop confidence in expressing my ideas in English.
Another significant part of my summer plan was listening to English podcasts and watching English movies. These activities exposed me to different accents and dialects, improving my listening skills.
